dc.description.abstractThis research is about the importance and dangers to the implementation of the right to bail in Kampala, Uganda. The study was carried out in Makindye Division and it focused on the meaning and relevance of the admission of bail to the various accused personnel's in the country. The literature discusses the legal basis on the right to bail of an individual, the interpretation and application of bail, and the judicial provision and process on the grant of bail. The study also analyzed the legal framework concerning the right to bail such as the Constitution, The Penal Code Act, interalia among other statutes with reference to past cases. Findings from various entities were also sought majorly from the IGP's office, the different police posts in the region, the Human Rights Organizations in Uganda, among others. Conclusions and recommendations were made concerning the research findings and the recommendations to the parties involved were also puten_US
