Abstract
About 95% of children who join standard one class in Kenya pass through pre-school education. One of the principles of global movement for children today is to give every child quality education. For each child to receive this good and quality education he/she must pass through hands of a well trained person. This person will be able to meet the get objectives for quality education at this level grant (1960). The purpose of the study is to make a survey of the factors contributing to the high level percentage of untrained preschool teachers in Gatituri zone, central division Embu District. This will be done though selected schools and the teachers targeted. The study is limited to be area of coverage due to the financial and time. restrictions and homogeneity of the population due to time and financial constraints. The researcher will use questionnaires which will first be pretest and then collected.
