dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out to establish problems facing educational programmes for the children with Hearing impairment in Murnias Division, Mumias district. The study revealed that problems faced by H.I learners include understanding, signing communication language and behavior problems. The H.I teachers cope with these problems by: learning sign language, trying to understand signs practicing assign language and using different Medias. The findings reveal the methods used by H.J teachers like total comrnunication lip reading and Kenyan sign language. To assist, the government should built more schools for H.I. learners and equip them with enough resources to help built a better society for the H. I. learners.en_US
