| dc.description.abstract | The study was guided by three objectives namely; To find out three effects of socialization on pupil's academic performance, To find out the effects of adherence to school rules and regulation on Pupil's academic performance and find out the role of pupils' leadership on academic performance. The study involved a population of 7705 pupils, I 17 teachers and 4 head teachers from which a sample size of 40 pupils, 16 teachers and 4 head teachers were selected on basis of simple random probability sampling and purposively. Data was collected by the use of questionnaire and an interview guide which was analyzed by quantitative descriptive presentation. The study found out that learners should be given time to socialize with adequate monitoring by teachers in order to avoid misbehavior among the socialization groups leading in discipline hence perform poorly in class, school had rules and regulations but with limited implementation whereas they contribute to good discipline in schools leading to improvement in performance in academic standards and pupils can play a role as leaders towards academic performance. Therefore, pupils should be given time to play and socialize, be monitored as they socialize, observing school rules and regulations and involved in leadership at schools. | en_US |
