The study was carried out based on four specific objectives: to determine the demographic characteristics of respondents in terms of Age, Gender, Education qualification, Experience; to examine the extent of resources mobilization by local NGOs in Bukavu District; to establish the sustainability level of local NGOs in Bukavu and to establish if there is a significant relationship between resources mobilization and sustainability of local NGOs in Bukavu. The researcher adopted a descriptive research design. The target population comprised of 100 respondents (managers and staffs) from the selected NGOs. The researcher took the whole target population as a sample size. The primary data collection was done by the use of questionnaires. The collected data was coded and analyzed using relevant Statistical computer packages. The presentation of data was done by use of tables and figures. The researcher had several findings and conclusions; among them are that there is a significant relationship between resources mobilization and sustainability of local NGOs in Bukavu; the extent of resources mobilization is high and the sustainability level is high among these NGOs. From the researcher’s findings, it has been recommended that the NGOs should find other ways of income generation; NGOs should explore other methods of resources mobilization and that NGOs should try to seek funds from internal sources.en_US
