Abstract
This study of impacts of free primary education on early childhood development has
five chapters. The study is to analyse how the introduction of the free primary
education has affected the early childhood development in schools or in their
education, psychologically, socially, emotionally and physically.
The Chapter one gives the background of the study. When the free primary education
was introduced what lead to its introduction and the effects that has been realized
since its introduction. It also gives the objectives of the study and the questions that
will guide in the research process. It also opens when the early childhood was
introduced and partially how the free primary education has affected it.
Chapter two is the literature review. This gives more other authors have commented
or talks about the free primary education in relation to early childhood development.
It talks of how these selected areas of study have been affected by the introduction of
free primary education in relation to early childhood.
The chapter three is the research methodology which deals with the design which has
been used in the researching. Method used to collect the data necessary to answer the
research question the population who was involved in helping to answer the research

questions. The data was collected using the questionnaires observation and interview
methods. The population in the study were primary head teachers, administrators, preschool
teachers.
The Chapter four, entails the analysis of the data and interpretation. The finding are to
be explained in form of tables and pre charts to clarify information.
The chapter five this is the discussion conclusion and recommendation section. The
finding are discussed and conclusions are drawn from the findings. The
recommendations are made as to what can be implemented to better early childhood
education. In recommendations, the management committees are to sensitize parents
on the importance of ECO.
