| dc.description.abstract | The science subjects i.e. physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics has been a focus of man in the education system. However, student’s attitudes have greatly affected the performance of students in these subjects at both national and promotional examinations. The main objectives of the study was to investigate the impact of students attitudes on the performance of science subjects in Uganda, a case study of Mukungwe Sub County, masaka district, Central Uganda. It also established how students’ background and teachers attitudes affect the performance of science subjects. However, the study focused on two secondary schools in Mukungwe Sub county in the period of three months from may 2018 to July 2018. The research design was a descriptive survey research that used both qualitative and quantitative approach in analyzing data collected from sixty four (64) respondents. The study found out that student’s interests and teachers attitudes towards science affects the performance in these respective subjects. | en_US |
