Abstract
The study focused on procurement and performance of Companies. The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between e-performance and performance of Companies. During the study, there was established that e-procurement offers several benefits. However the level at which Companies especially those in developing countries are embracing electronic procurement is progressing slowly. The study was also guided by the following objectives. To examine the benefits of e-procurement To examine the performance of Companies and To examine the relationship between electronic procurement and performance of Companies The methodology used in this chapter or study was descriptive and qualitative. Literature was revived from various sources of information such as journal, magazines, internet and articles. Data was analyses to acquire accurate and consistent information. The key findings of the study established include the following; online procurement offers various benefits though it was observed that most Companies especially those in low developed nations have not fully embraced it. It was examined that there is a relationship between electronic procurement and performance of Companies.
