The study found out that the knowledge about biomedical interventions to prevent HIV among the youth in Ishaka is adequate and yet other strategies are not well clear to the youth within Ishaka Town, and that 3.1% of the respondents who disagreed that biomedical strategies can prevent HIV had tested for HIV in the last 3 months (were aware of their current HIV status) compared to 14.4 % who had agreed, showing a strong relationship between knowledge of HIV prevention services and utilization of HIV prevention services, and that youth less than 30 years and female youth were more knowledgeable about HIV preventive strategies. The study concluded that the knowledge about comprehensive HIV preventive services among the youth is poor, and that the utilization of HIV preventive services, measured by HIV test in the three months was greatly influenced by knowledge about the services and that gender (being female) and age of less than 30 years influenced the knowledge about comprehensive HIV preventive strategies, and recommended that the combination of biomedical, behavioural, and structural streams of action to reduce HIV vulnerability and risk is highly recommended in this study. Finally, the study recommended a combination of biomedical, behavioural, and structural streams of actions to reduce HIV vulnerability and risk is highly recommended in this study, dissemination of information related to comprehensive HIV preventive strategies should be done in all schools and institutions so that the youth could embrace them for effective HIV prevention and that there should be deliberate effort by the program managers and community leaders to design projects aimed at reducing gender disparity in the dissemination of information related to a comprehensive prevention strategy in Bushenyi district
