Abstract
The study was carried out in Kamariny Division Keiyo North District. The main purpose of the study was to find out challenges of inclusion of visually impaired learners in regular schools. The sample population was composed of respondents who included teachers and learners in the selected schools. The research instruments that were used to collect data were questionnaires and interview. The findings of the study generally revealed that there were some negative attitudes towards visually impaired children in mainstream schools The researcher made some recommendations that; there should be training of more teachers in special needs education, child-child method of teaching to encourage positive/health interaction between the ordinary children and those that are visually challenged, provision of modified learning/teaching materials, modification of the curriculum to suit the learning needs of all learners, special consideration in setting and marking of National Examinations as a way forward towards improving the performance of visually impaired learners in an inclusive setting
