The researcher used three different tools for collecting data. These were questionnaire, observation and check-list, which were used cross-sectionally. Most of the null hypothesis was rejected with exception of one. The conclusions were that, low achievements of learners were not due to lack of interest or lack of instructional materials, but due to the in-appropriate methods. Recommendations elicited that teachers should revise and employ most appropriate methods for teaching science, and teachers, administrators and stake holders should provide adequate materials to enhance achievements of learners.
