Abstract
This study dealt with the investigation of effects of punishments among secondary school students in Rift valley Province; Bomet District, Kenya. Many researchers have come out with different views on punishments like Birungi, Nagawa, Olupot. The researcher used questionnaires and interviews to collect relevant information of the study. This study revealed that there is a need for the administrator, teachers and students to know various effects of punishments and measures to be done in order to find ways of solving problems rather than punishment. The findings revealed the negative and positive effects of punishments, so administration and teachers are to view on each effects.
