Abstract: | The purpose of the study was to address the issue of poor academic performance in KCPE in English Language and device ways or remedies that can combat these causes so that there is improved performance in English Language. The study was conducted from Tirirnionin, Kasisit, Sesoi, Sutiechun and Kaptere. This study investigated causes of poor academic performance in English language examinations and the causes addressed at the end of the research. The specific objectives of the study were; to investigate methods used to teach English language, to investigate English assessment methods, to investigate the duration it takes to complete the English language syllabuses at the levels and motivation methods used. The researcher explored case studies of five primary schools in Tirirnionin Zone Kabartonjo Division of Baringo North District. |
