Abstract
The main main of this study was to establish the impact of decentralization on poverty alleviation in Iganga Municipal Council, Iganga District. Specific objectives of the study. To establish the general causes of poverty in Uganda, to establish the impact of decentralization on poverty alleviation in Iganga Municipal Council, Iganga District. To identify the challenges faced in the implementation of decentralization in local governments in Uganda. To find out the possible measures to reduce the poverty levels in Uganda.
