Abstract
The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of wage levels on the performance of employees at Kagando rural development Centre in Kisinga town council Kasese district. A descriptive and analytical research design was used. A relation between the constructs of wage levels and employee performance was carried out to test the direction and strength of the relationship between the variables. Primary data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire. A regression analysis focusing on wage levels was made to establish the extent to which they influence employee performance. The findings indicated a positive relationship between wage levels and employee performance. This implies that if wage levels are high, employee performance will be high and if the wage levels are low, employee performance will be low. The study concluded that many organizations have collapsed due to poor wages administered to their employees. These have resulted into high employee turnover, poor attitudes towards work which in turn has led to losses on the side of the organization, low output and many more and thus there is need to address the wage levels problem before it gets out of hand. The researcher recommended that, There is need for organizations to handle the wages issue critically to avoid these problems. Without the employees the organization cannot grow therefore their welfare should be the organization concern.
