The study provides the impact of English language in rural secondary schools. As a matter of fact, English language has both positive and negative impact to pupils according to the information obtained from the schools in which the study was conducted. It is true that if the lessons are conducted in local languages, learners can improve however, they can not perform uniformly. The information obtained shows that English language has,,to a greater extent, been more advantageous than disadvantageous. The solution to the disadvantages are suggested including maintaining both languages (Ll and L2)en_US
