dc.description.abstractThe study sought to identify the role of HIV/AIDS treatment by Uganda Health Marketing Group towards the health sector development in Jinja district, establishing the role of HIV/AIDS prevention by Uganda Health Marketing Group in Jinja district, and lastly, to examine the role of Antenatal support by Uganda Health Marketing Group towards the health sector development in Jinja. The research employed descriptive correlation design to describe the relationship between variables. A descriptive cross sectional study was undertaken based on quantitative and qualitative research designs; Various research methods and tools for data collection were used respectively; exist interviews with semi-structured questionnaires, key informant interviews with interview guides; focus group discussions with the help of focus group guide; and observation with an observation checklist; internet surfing; and document analysis. The findings revealed the following; Data analysis using means showed that the nature of health aid to Jinja was found satisfactory with an overall mean of 2.81, and the health sector development in Jijnja was also found to be satisfactory with an overall mean of 2.83. Health aid and the health sector development in Jinja are positive in nature and significantly correlated. The researcher recommended that; The government needs to comply with its obligations under the International Human Rights Treaties, in particular on health provision, the government needs to adequately fund, improve the availability and quality of health services, gender equality in health service delivery should be highly promoted and encouraged, the government should also come up with favorable policies that can give room to public-private partnership in the provision of health services, health aid donor should stop attaching a lot of strings on health aid to enable all grass root health organizations access health aid in the district, and the government should stop interfering in health aid programs. And lastly, the researcher called upon prospective researchers and students to research on the following areas; Evaluation of the quality of health service delivery in Jinja, NGOs participation and the health sector performance in Jinja, medical workers quality and health service delivery in Jinja, and medical staff motivation and health service delivery in Jinja.en_US
