Abstract
Lack of education has been a common problem in the third world countries .This has led to high rates of illiteracy and many people have been living below poverty line. This has been caused by unaffordable school fees for the low income earners. This study was conducted in the North Eastern province in Kenya, which includes Wajir and Marsabit district respectively. The study will create awareness among people of Wajir and Marsabit on importance of Education. The researcher used various methods to collect data for example, questionnaire, oral interview and observation. The importance of this study is to improve U.P.E, reduce illiteracy, improve information management systems, reduce poverty and improve the standards of networking and communication. This study will also enable the Government and North Eastern population aware of the problems U.P.E is facing and what they can do to help.
