The objective of the study was to examine the impact of labor relations and employee performance, to establish the relationship between labor relations and employee performance and to find out the major parties involved in promoting labor relations. The researcher used questionnaires and interviews as the research instruments. The data collection comprised of both primary and secondary data. Also data was analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings indicated that there was a good labor relation that was reflected in the effective communication, teamwork and nonexistence of strikes. It was also discovered that labor relations to some employees was poor since the top management does not involve them in daily routine meetings, they were poorly motivated and their welfare was poor. The general recommendations have been made that, the management of Mubende district Headquarters should devise means to harmonize the system of labor relations to ensure that it is maintained and understood by all employees to avoid frustrations and demotivation of employees, also the management should give employees equal chances to participate in decision making process, encouraging employees to join trade unions, opening up the channels of communication and improve on the welfare services.en_US
