dc.description.abstractThe study assessed the impacts of micro finance institution on poverty reduction in Uganda Mukono municipality Mukono district. It answered three study objectives that included: To establish the level of micro finance on poverty, examine the challenges faced in Mukono municipality Mukono district and determine the relationship between microfinance and poverty in Mukono municipality Mukono district. The study used cross sectional research design; questionnaires were used to collect data from 45 respondents who participated in the study. Education sector, in collaboration with other development stakeholders, is facilitating the social economic transformation of Uganda, as part of delivering on its huge mandate. Ultin1ately, achieving the goal of middle income status will require success at all the 3 level of service delivery namely; policy making, planning & implementation. Based on the empirical findings of the research, the impact of microfinance institution on people welfare in Mukono municipality Mukono District has varied effects on the welfare of the participating households. Some of these effects include: improved education standards, improved healthcare, in1proved incomes, enhance consumption and living standards, earning of extra income as well as reduction of unemployment by providing an avenue for self-employment. There also exists a very strong relationship between household welfare on one hand and various variables mentioned.en_US
