dc.description.abstract | A research report establishing the impact of UPE on pupil's performance in English language in Rubaga Division, Kampala District. The objectives of the study were; • Assess the effect of Universal Prima1y Education on learners' achievements in termly or Primary Leaving Examinations (P.L.E). • Identify the suitable methods and materials usually used in English Language lesson in relation to large classes. • Assess the impact of Universal Primary Education on the learners' attitudes towards English Language. The researcher used these tools in his study; • Questionnaires • Interviews • Observation The findings of the study were; many schools which were sampled do not have special graded books purposely for reading and teaching English Language. Most teachers who teach English Language as a subject have no interest in teaching it. | en_US |
