Abstract
The study aimed at establishing the relationship between the government
policy and service delivery in selected local government in hargaisa
Somaliland. the next step was to identify the research objectives , this
objectives include: To correlate government policy and service delivery , To
determine the profile of respondents in terms of Gender, Age, ,educational
level , marital status , To determine the levels of government policy in
selected local government , To determine the level service delivery in
selected local government , To determine if there is a significant relationship
between the level of government policy and service delivery in selected
local government. The study was conducted through descriptive survey and
correlation research design, quantitative approach with a questionnaire
which also included a target population of 140 and sample size 105
respondents from selected local government in somaliland. The study utilized
descriptive statistics frequencies and percentages, tables were used in the
presentation of data and also Pearson’s correlation coefficient was applied to
test correlation between government policy and service delive
The research found that the government policy and service delivery of
selected local government, are significantly correlate
its recommended that all government institutions in hargaisa Somaliland
should make sure that they provide efficiency and effective service delivery in
the community or needed community of the country especially in health
sectors because there are many people who are suffering from poor health
conditions in very regions of the country. The government institutions should
make sure to use bottom-up approach as a tool to deal with the communities
problems and prioritize the needs of the community.
