Abstract
The general aim of the study was to analyze the effects of teachers’ absenteeism on the academic performance of children in universal primary schools of Uganda, case study of Maanyi sub County Mityana District.The study was guided by the following objectives; to determine the magnitude of teacher absenteeism in UPE schools in Maanyi Sub County; To identify the underlying causes of teacher absenteeism in Maanyi sub county.To establish the correlation between teacher absenteeism and pupil performance in Maanyi.
