Abstract
The study investigated the attitude and performance of the teachers in
selected Primary Schools in Jinja District. In a bid to propose an
enhancement code of conduct programme. The study was carried out in
selected Primary Schools in Jinja District.
The specific objectives of the study were to establish whether the
teachers' profession code of conduct has an impact on the attitude and
performance of teaches, to find out how the attitude of teachers towards
teaching affects their performance and to find out how best can the
teachers' code of conduct be understood.
The study was carried out using self-administered questionnaire to the
teachers and administrators of the selected schools. Oral interviews and
interactions were also made.
