Abstract
Rwanda government have promoted the microfinance as its route out of poverty
and many peoples started to have habitual to use those microfInance, and that
have become a big task for microfinance to serve their customers. The
management information system has been identified as one solution to this
problem. The current study is focus to the management information system and
organization performance of microfinance in Gasabo district, Rwanda (case study
of customer care in Goshen and Ubaka microfinance)
A descriptive and comparative method was conducted to explore and compare the
contribution of management information system in Goshen and Ubaka microfinance.
The alternative hypothesis was tested to explore and compare the contribution of
management information system in Goshen and Ubaka microfinance. With the
questionnaires, data were collected from the staffs of the microfinance institutions
concerned by the study.
The results of the study indicated that the management Information system for
customer care; perform well in Goshen microfinance institution than Ubaka
microfinance because in six MIS components considered by the researcher,
Goshen has good contribution than Ubaka in all four components.
