Abstract
The study was to investigate the influence of foreign aid on the performance of Nature Uganda. It used a mixed research method. It had the following objectives: To establish the level of influence of foreign aid on the performance of Nature Uganda; to identify challenges encountered by foreign aid on the performance of Nature Uganda; And, to suggest possible solutions for the challenges encountered by foreign aid on the performance of Nature Uganda. It was carried out in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda where the head quarter office of Nature Uganda is located. Findings showed that most of the respondents were in the age bracket of 20’s and 81% were still single. Most of the respondents answered “strongly disagree” to the question of knowing foreign aid on Nature Uganda. To the question of where they came to know about Nature Uganda, those who answered “from relatives” were many with 42.9% in line with those of “from friends” with 34.5%. Those from radios or TVs were 9.5% compared to the minimal of 2.4% who answered “from reading newspapers, books or movies. To the Challenges encountered by foreign aid on Nature Uganda, most of the answers given were: Negative traditional attitude towards foreign aid, limited resources, and lack of information, illiteracy, domestic issues and gender sensitive. Recommendations given were: To provide training and sensitization for the community on financing and developing projects to increase Nature Uganda, To create educational training materials on topics such as customer care, cleaning services and catering/hotel services to the communities neighboring Nature Uganda. Develop savings and micro credit opportunities, Organize media, theater and performing activities about Nature Uganda, To provide health services, counselling and other social services for families affected by diseases because of Nature Uganda and, Government to work with relevant authorities in Nature Uganda to streamline rules, Policies and laws significantly to make foreign aid on Nature Uganda be productive to the people who dwell on the land of Uganda.
