Abstract
This study looks at The Impact of Low Teacher Retention on Academic Performance in Selected. Secondary Schools in Wakiso District. The purpose of this research study was to critically examine the influence of home background in student’s performance in wakiso District. The area of concentration in this research students are: Family or home economic background, Life style of various social classes, and Family size and students’ academic performance. This study was guided by three main objectives the general one being to examine the impact of Family economic status on student performance in wakiso district. Chapter two of this study included the work of other researchers who investigated on the impact of social-economic factors and its influence on student academic performance in wakiso district. Chapter three explained the methodology that the researcher used to carry out this research study. Chapter four and five include analysis, presentation and discussion of the study and the conclusion was that it is true that social-economic factors really influence students’ academic performance.
