Abstract
Crown Suites Hotel Reservation System is a system meant to handle client information. It is meant to ease reservation work at the hotel, backed by the fact that the hotel receives multitudes of clients daily. However, the hotel lacked an efficient way of handling reservations. There were long queues, loss of paper work and data inconsistency. This meant that there was customer dissatisfaction as clients waited for a long time to be registered. The existing mechanisms were inept in processing and time management. This project therefore was intended to ease the reservations at the hotel by providing data security, data consistency and faster data processing. The automated hotel reservation system has enhanced flexibility since it is easier to get information when required for retrieval, at the same time made it easy to carry out customer evaluation. It has sped up staff performance and effectiveness. Free rooms can be located with ease, and an up-to-date customer count is constantly maintained. This report thus gives an insight into the nature of a hotel system that should be used in order to enhance the competitive future of the hotel business.
