The study on the impacts of HIV/AIDS on women in Fort-portal Municipality was conducted using one division. The study specifically aimed at determining the causes, effects and possible remedies of HIV/AIDS among women. The study employed a case study approach and at least 86 respondents were realized using Quota, stratified, random and snowball sampling techniques. Data was collected using structured Questionnaires, interview guides and checklists which captured both primary and secondary data. Results reveal that, HIV/ AIDS was still weighing among women and other groups causing both psycho-social and economic effects. Nonetheless, numerous opportunities were still available for exploitation among all the stakeholders for socio-economic enhancement both in the short and long run. The study therefore, recommends increased funding mainly on sensitization and counseling on decentralized management where women can take an active role.en_US
