To meet our objectives, we had collected data using questionnaires. The data were presented, analyzed and interpreted using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The relationship between domestic violence and women’s rights was confirmed. As recommendations, the government has to enact and enforce laws and regulations that prohibit violence against women in general and domestic violence in particular. Non-Governmental Organizations must collaborate with the government to launch awareness campaigns informing the public about domestic violence and its intersection with human rights in general and women’s rights in particular. There must be a sensitization on women’s rights from the community level up to the country’s level. Women must be in association where they can be empowered .The respect of human dignity must be a subject of education in all areas (families, churches, schools, communities)
