Abstract
Sustainable education has emerged as a vital component of modern curricula, aiming to integrate ecological, economic, and socio-cultural dimensions into teaching and learning processes. This paper explores the multifaceted nature of sustainable education, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches. It examines the various definitions and understandings of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), the challenges in its implementation, and the critical role of educational institutions in fostering sustainability literacy.
