It is guided by four objectives, namely, to determine the factors responsible for the absenteeism of students. To investigate the methods used for the retention of secondary school learners in school, to identify the role of teachers in children’s performance in Kasawo Sub County. Mukono district, to find out the factors that lead to varied academic performance. The research is mainly concerned about the differences of academic performance absenteeism negatively affects students’ academic achievement although other factors work together this development. Quantitative and survey research design was used to deeply obtain people’s opinion on absenteeism on the students’ academic achievement
