The main objective of the research was to design and implement a web-based tourist guide system for Tourists in Uganda. The system provides tourists with directions of the available tourist sites. The study specific objectives included; to identify the requirements for designing, a web-based tourist guide system, to design a tourist guide system for tourism, to implement the web-based tourist guide system. Research questions were; what are the different tourist guide systems on market? How can tourist guide system help tourists discover tourist destinations? What technology instrument is required for tourist guide system? The research methodology involved the use of interviews, observations, and questionnaire. This research found out that tourists face a problem of lack of right information about the tourist sites, thus making it had to plan for their journeys in time. Findings of the study were; the system provided accurate information about the tourist sites and centers, the system can greatly improve the Uganda Wild Life Authority’s way of managing the tourism industry and the work of employees be simplified by the deployment of the system. The research recommended that Uganda Wildlife Authority implements a web-based tourist guide system to aid the tourists to access the accurate information on time. Conclusion, the web-based tourist guide system is a good tool for deployment in the tourism industry such that accurate information is made available to the tourists with ease.
