| dc.description.abstract | The study investigated the effect of business ethics on organizational performance in the banking industry with a particular reference to Diamond Trust Bank, Kabalagala branch. The objectives of this research work were to determine the relationship between the dimensions of business ethics and organizational performance. The study used a cross-sectional research design. Data was collected using questionnaires. A simple random sampling design was used to select respondents from the clients and purposive sampling was used to select staff respondents. The study covered 100 respondents all had information on business ethics activities. Primary data was used for the study with questionnaires as research instrument. Data presentation was done using pie charts and bar graphs showing frequencies and percentages. Data analysis was done using a computer package of SPSS. The findings of the study revealed that the dimensions of business ethics have effect on organizational performance. Based on the findings it was recommended that Diamond Trust Bank should adequately involve its employees in taking decisions regarding the setting of their attainable goals. There should be intensive public enlightenment and organization of seminars and conferences to make various corporate bodies to be aware that their obligation does not end with profit-making and maximization of shareholder wealth. This will enable the business unit mangers to be more aware and conscious of social needs of their immediate environment and the community at large. | en_US |
