Background: Mother To Child Transmission (MTCT) is the most significant source of HIV infection in children below the age of 15 years. Since the beginning of the pandemic, an estimated 5.1 million children worldwide have been infected, almost through MTCT. Methodology: a cross sectional design was adopted; a quantitative data was collected from respondents using researcher- administered questionnaire. Data was entered to the computer using EPI DATA SPSS, version 16.0 and all variables were analyzed using SPSS analysis, cross tabs and chi square. Data was presented in percentage, frequency, charts, and tables.
